Refund Policy

The policies followed by Journal of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine are designed to ensure transparency, fairness, and the highest level of ethical standards while balancing the interests of both authors and the journal. The journal is committed to maintaining clarity regarding financial transactions and refund policies for authors who submit manuscripts for publication.

Once an author has paid the Article Processing Charges (APCs) and subsequently decides to withdraw the manuscript, the fees paid are generally non-refundable. Similarly, if an author has made an advance payment with the intent to complete the full payment after publication but later retracts the manuscript, a refund will not be processed.

The journal invests substantial resources in the editorial and peer-review process, technical support, manuscript processing, and administrative services. These efforts begin immediately after submission, regardless of whether the manuscript is ultimately published. Therefore, refunds are not granted once the review process has commenced.

However, in exceptional cases where an error occurs on the part of the journal—such as duplicate payments, overcharging, or technical errors—the editorial team may consider a partial or full refund. Any such refund request must be formally submitted in writing to the journal’s administration, providing a detailed explanation and proof of payment. These cases will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and the final decision will rest with the Editorial Board.

While refund requests due to an author's decision to withdraw a manuscript are not entertained, the journal remains fully committed to providing high-quality publishing services. Authors are encouraged to carefully review submission guidelines and fee structures before proceeding with payments to avoid any inconvenience.
