The Journal of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine (JCCM) is committed to providing an open-access platform for high-quality cardiovascular research. In order to maintain the sustainability of the journal and cover the costs of publication, the journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to authors of accepted manuscripts.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

The APC helps cover the costs of editorial management, peer-review, article production, and hosting of articles on the journal's website. The charge is applicable once an article is accepted for publication and is due prior to the final publication of the article.

The current APC for the Journal of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine (JCCM) is: $2,589 USD for all types of articles.

All authors are required to pay the APC once their manuscript is accepted for publication. Payment details and instructions will be provided upon acceptance of the manuscript. To ensure timely publication, authors should make the payment promptly after receiving the acceptance notice.

Waiver Policy

JCCM recognizes that financial constraints may impact some researchers, particularly those from low-income and middle-income countries. To support global participation, the journal offers a waiver of the APC on a case-by-case basis. Authors requesting a waiver must submit a written request explaining their financial situation, and may be required to provide relevant documentation such as funding limitations or affiliation with an institution in a low-income country.

Additional Charges

In addition to the standard APC, authors may incur additional charges for the following services:

• Color Figures: There are no additional fees for publishing figures in color.
• Supplementary Materials: There are no additional charges for including supplementary materials such as datasets, videos, or extra files.
• Urgent Processing: Expedited processing of manuscripts does not incur any additional charges.

These services are optional and only apply if the author requests them during the submission process. Fees for these additional services must be paid prior to the final publication of the article.

Payment Methods

For convenience and security, JCCM accepts payment through the following methods:

• Credit/Debit Cards: We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express payments.
• Bank Transfers: International bank transfers are accepted as a payment method.
• PayPal: Authors can make payments securely through PayPal.

All payments must be made in U.S. dollars (USD). Payment instructions will be provided once the manuscript is accepted for publication.

Refund Policy

Once the Article Processing Charge (APC) is paid and the article is accepted for publication, no refunds will be issued. However, if an article is withdrawn before it enters the peer-review process, authors may be eligible for a partial refund, based on the stage at which the manuscript is withdrawn.
